Article Marketing Mistakes - Are You Writing Articles For Nothing?

Article marketing is time consuming and requires a good amount of brainpower. It's really a shame when I read other peoples articles that are 600 words long that I know could be more effective. In this article I will go over a couple of common mistakes made by article marketers.

1, Article Marketers don't know their numbers- You are writing articles for the ultimate purpose of driving traffic to your website or business so you can make a profit. Right? If this is the case, then you need to be measuring the effectiveness of your efforts. Is it working? How well is it working? You first need to find out the baseline, by that I mean you need to know how many page views the average article receives per month. You should also know how many of those people click on the link and visit the authors website or page.

These are a couple of numbers you need to know; otherwise you don't know how well your articles are doing compared to the million others it's competing with.

2, Bio box- this is the box at the end of your article where you can sell what you have to offer your prospects. The biggest mistake I see here is that a lot of article marketers don't know what makes people click the link leading to their website. If you are a marketer online, you need to know what will make readers take action. That's why you are marketing; the key here is benefit to your reader. What you are saying to benefit your reader? That's how you will turn most of those readers into visitors to your site.

Act on this knowledge and you will be on your way to running a very effective and productive article marketing campaign!
