Network Marketing - Old School Vs New School Techniques, Which Works?

New School Network Marketing 2.0 is basically online marketing and old school methods are becoming obsolete. Why, because spending hours on phone calls, literally doing all of the leg work to build a loyal down line through in person meetings and not reaping rewards fast enough have been replaced by new school methods. Yes there are still people who prefer this method, likely because they are used to it and some of them make a very lucrative income from it. Are things changing in the industry? Of course they are, but that does not mean that the basics of the industry have changed. We still move products through a network of people who make commissions on the sales of those products. The downside of the new school method is building the relationship with customers because nothing really beats face to face encounters. There becomes a much faster trust base formed than the new school way of making contacts via the Internet.

Relationships are a very big deal and people do miss them so it is important that when you get a solid prospect online that you speak to them on the phone as soon as possible. This allows you to begin building that customer relationship right away which is fantastic. If they happen to be local then attempt a face to face meeting if possible. Remember the new school theory, Internet tools provide you with multiple leads but the old school theory of building relationships bind the business together.

Network marketing has changed tremendously since its move to the Internet; it has also made it a lot easier for the average Joe to create other paths of income. Old school network marketing was all about face to face selling; home meetings, hotel meetings, and one on one meeting. There is nothing wrong with using face to face selling as a means of introducing your business to potential prospects, but it does have one major problem. Your average person is not a salesman, and they cannot do it!

The new school method uses the franchising concept to its fullest function. The franchising concept is about a group of people already having the products and services in place, and the strategies spelled out in a simple form to bring in customers. The franchising concept simply means that you have a bunch of franchise owners and one franchise rather than a bunch of franchises and one owner. Makes sense does it? The moral of the story is to teach others how to do the work and become successful so that you can be compensated from each "franchise" owner with a passive income. New school techniques show people what marketing on the Internet is all about and because it reaches so many more people and reaches the right target market it works much better.

Network marketing on the internet is about finding a good franchise already set up with products and services, and the strategies intact to generate customers. The founders of internet network marketing franchises want you to be successful, because there is no possible way they could do it all themselves. They would rather teach you how to generate traffic to your site, show you what ads pull in the most customers, give you the market tested sales letters. This gives them so much more coverage than if they ran the whole project by themselves.

New school network marketing beats old school because of the system set in place. It does not rely on that special sales person to do hotel meetings and face to face selling to bring in the customers. New school network marketing relies on having strategies already in place that tell the average person how to generate traffic and lead them to their website, which sales letters and software works best, and how to get free leads if you are on a budget. The new school system in place does all of the selling itself, your job is to get the traffic. With the internet you are not limited by your town or city, the world is your marketplace.
