Internet Marketing Article Report - Why I Market Exclusively With Articles

There are many different ways to do internet marketing. Article marketing is one of my favourite methods of doing internet marketing as this is one of the easiest methods that even a beginner can succeed with.

Let us look at the most common ways that people use to market their internet business. Ppc advertising is very quick to setup and drive targeted traffic quickly to your web site. The big disadvantage with this method of internet marketing is that you need to be willing to spend thousands of dollars to test and track which keywords actually convert. This can be very daunting for a beginner.

Ezine advertising also brings in results quickly. However the disadvantage is that often you need to book your adverts weeks or months in advance. You also need to be very good at copywriting so that your emails actually get read and convert to customers. You also need to track and test everything so that you only continue advertising in related ezines that are actually profitable.

Search engine optimization is another method that can be used that is effective. However the disadvantage here is that for a new web site it can take up to a year to get good search engine rankings and with the frequent changes in the search engine algorithms your business can be wiped out if you lose your rankings.

Let us look at my favourite method of internet marketing. With article marketing the disadvantage is that you need to spend a lot of time to write the articles. However, once you have written and submitted your articles to the major article directories they are viral in nature. They get picked up by other webmasters that publish them on their web sites. I would much rather have different sources of traffic than just rely on one source alone which can be very risky. You also get traffic from search engines as they spider your articles in the search engine directories.

It is probably the most reliable method of generating quality traffic to a web site. This method of marketing has been so effective for me that I have stopped ppc and ezine advertising long ago.

Article Marketing - Re-purpose Your Articles in Your Blog and Build "Article Intrigue"

Article marketing is simply getting your information in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.

One of the best and easiest ways to do this is to re-purpose your articles in your blog.

The only real challenge is that at 300 to 500 words most articles are too long for your average blog post.So here aretwo ways to create several blog posts out of one article and build a little "article intrigue" while your are at it.

1. Split your article into three separate blog posts over an interval of three days or longer. This is especially simple if you have made 3 major points in your article. It can be done with any article though. In the first post use about a third of your article. At the end of the post, tell the reader a bit about what to expect in the next blog post. And so on.

2. Another great way to do this is to use the "read more" function on your blog. The read more icon on Word Press blogs looks like a sheet of paper cut in half. This is essentially what you are doing. At some point in your article place the read more command and your article stops there, creating a small post. When the reader clicks on the "read more" link they are taken to a new page and the rest of the article.

Bonus tip: To build in a little "article intrigue" place the read more link in the middle of a thought such as "something works really well for me is" and then place the read more link right there.

Article Marketing - Do You Want Traffic or Visitors Coming to Your Web Site?

All internet marketers want to have people coming to their web sites. On the internet this has come to be known as traffic. I'm not sure I really like that word too much though.

According to dictionary dot com, traffic is defined as: "the movement of vehicles, ships, persons, etc., in an area, along a street, through an air lane, over a water route, etc." We usually think of it as something you want to avoid.

Again, according to dictionary dot com, visitor is defined as: "person who visits, as for reasons of friendship, business, duty, travel, or the like."

Now here is my question - which one do you want coming to your web site or blog?

Now before you say that this is just semantics, consider which one you are holding in your thoughts as you write an article or an email. Traffic sounds like some anonymous group of people. Visitors sound like people, even individual people.

I've come to favor the term visitors because this allows me to hold real actual people in my mind as I write articles, emails and create products. I believe this makes a difference in the "know, like and trust" factor. When you are writing to traffic I think the potential know, like and trust factor is low. When you are writing to visitors I think the potential know, like and trust factor is high.

The really great thing is that article marketing is a powerful way to bring visitors to your web sites and blogs.

Article Marketing - How To Fail In 6 Easy Steps

You too can fail at article marketing! It's true! It's easy to fail, and your profits and traffic will shrink! All you have to do is simply follow these 6 easy to use steps. If you use these steps, I assure you, your article marketing will fail! I promise.

How to fail at article marketing in 6 easy steps

  1. By not putting bullet points or by not breaking up your articles in paragraphs, your readers will hate your article. This is a good and easy way to fail. All you have to do is just write without pressing the enter button or by not pressing the list button. Readers don't like to read long and annoying paragraphs, so this is an easy way for you to fail at article marketing.
  2. Putting too many grammatical errors can get your readers to quickly click out of your article. Be lazy and don't take the time to press the spell check button! You can loose tons of traffic and destroy your reputation by doing this. So implement it into your article marketing quickly!
  3. Choose the keywords that are most unrelated to your article or that have the fewest amount of search volume, this can make your article views lower. Just choose the worst working keywords, and your article views will amount to zero or less. It's as simple as that.
  4. Don't put your keyword in the first three words of your articles title! You'll get a higher page ranking, and you don't want that!
  5. Put tons of links in your resource box. It will look unprofessional and sloppy. This way, readers won't even click on your link! For even fewer amounts of link clicks, write a really long resource box. At least 15% of your articles length should be good enough, or about a paragraph.
  6. Make your articles long. Try to get over 600 words. Readers may dislike it when your articles are long! This will get them to click out of your article very quickly!
These simple to use article marketing failing strategies are promised to get you to fail in a week or less! Try them out, they are easy to do, and you can see the worst results you can ever see!
