Tips To Make Text Link Ads Pay Off

Some web publishers are perfectly thrilled to gain a little cash for their work. Others, however, really want to boost their profits. Should you be in the latter group, you're most certainly not on your own. One of the many ways to make this happen includes using Text Link Ads on a blog or website. This is a fantastic way to go, but some effort needs to be in the mix to make this option pay out well.

The Text Link Ads company is a well-known one that offers publishers and advertisers a place to meet to buy and sell ads. The TLA affiliate program is one that can pay out extremely well for those who can make it work. Publishers who sign up for the program get $25 for each successful referral they make to other advertisers or publishers. If you're the publisher, you get paid the $25 when another publisher signs up and puts ad scripts up for at least a week. The program also rewards referring publishers when a new advertiser buys a link. Payments from TLA are steady. They come once a month in the mail or through PayPal.

While this sounds really easy, and it can be, the reality is publishers often have to work the program to their advantage to see real rewards. The trick involves the strategy that's used to get your visitors to click through and sign up. Sending readers to TLA isn't enough. They actually have to use the site's services for you to earn any money.

A popular way to increase click through rates and earning potential is to ensure TLA ads have good placement on your site. Making sure these ads are visible is vital. It's also not a bad idea to include a second link with your referral information on the same page as the box ad. Duplication is not a bad thing in this case.

Better ad placement is, of course, important, but there are other steps that can be taken to increase earning chances. Targeting the right visitors for conversions can also be important. Since publishers must sign up, gain approval and then run the ad script for the set number of day, they very likely should not be your focus. Target the advertisers instead.

There are a host of things you can do to increase the actual commissions. They fall into three major categories: ad placement, overcoming the "invisible" banner and self-promotion.

If the TLA affiliate program is going to be successful, people have to see the ads. There are some great ideas to help make them stand out. They include including TLA text links or even banners following each blog post or website article, making sure ads appear in the top of the page, making sure the ads are linked in the site's "links" section and rotating ads. It can also help to have friends, family members, co-workers and acquaintances review ad placement and give their input on what catches their eyes. Creating special TLA landing pages can be rather helpful, too.

Compensating for web surfers' noted ad blindness is another issue that will need to be overcome. Some site owners create personalized banners that include statements about earning potentials and not the direct TLA information. These ads link to TLA's pages directly or to an onsite presell page instead. Adding a recommendations page with TLA's information and other affiliate programs can be useful, as well.

Promoting your TLA affiliation program can also be rather beneficial. Ways to do this include buying forum signatures with the link included, leveraging Adwords to send people to your presell page, buying blot posts that direct people to the presell page and even sponsoring eZines and other similar publications with the affiliate link included.

Promotions alone can drive in traffic, but other steps might be necessary to increase conversion rates. Some of the better ideas here include running contests for those who sign up for TLA using your affiliate links, giving some form of cash back for each person who signs up or even providing free advertising via links on your site. The ideas here are many. Creativity can really pay off.

The TLA affiliate program can be a rather lucrative one if it's worked correctly. Taking the time to tweak your site, promote your affiliation and entice readers to act can really help.

7 Characteristics Of A Great Webpage

What makes for a great webpage?

Wouldn't you like to know the main ingredients for creating a superior webpage? What basic elements you must have if you want a solidly designed webpage? A webpage that will stand out and be noticed by your visitors. One that will keep those visitors returning to your site, again and again. An effective webpage that is 95% better than most of the other pages on the Net.

Follow these simple design features when creating your next webpage and you will have the answer:

1. Good Keywords

The nucleus. The conception. Good keywords are the very first building blocks you must consider before your webpage even becomes a dim notion in your head. Picking the right keyword or keyword phrase is the ultimate factor that will determine the success or failure of your webpage. You must do major research on the keyword or keyword phrases that will be the focal point and drawing card for your webpage.

You must get this right. It is vital. It is the single most important element of a webpage. You can use keyword research software and sites such as GoodKeywords, Wordtracker.com, Nichebot.com, or superior keyword research software such as Brad Callen's Keyword Elite.

Regardless of what process you favor, you must choose your keywords very carefully. You must check the competition for your chosen keywords or phrase. You must check the number of searches made each month for your keyword. You must also check the keyword density of your page to see if it will register in the search engines. You may have to adjust or fine-tune your keyword density at a later date.

Make sure you place your keyword in the title of your page. Place it in the first Headline on the page and many marketers also place their keyword or phrase in the url. For example: www.yourdomain.com/keyword.html This will help the search engines and surfers to find your page quicker.

2. Simple Design

Keep it simple. You must keep your webpage simple and direct. Keep it professional. Make sure it is readable and clear to all your visitors. Do a spell check. Do a grammar check. You may also want to check how your webpage looks in all types of browsers. (www.anybrowser.com) Better safe than sorry.

Keep your visitors in mind at all times when designing your webpage. Keep it on topic, keep it related to your keywords. Most marketing studies show that's it's best not to confuse your visitors with too many options. If you're selling a product or products, limit the number on each page to one product if you can.

If you have a comparison page, limit the number to three or four. Studies also show that if you present too many options or products, the conversion rate goes down, not up. Keep all your products related. If you have a page on laptops, don't start discussing the benefits of owning a SUV.

Keep your sentences short and the number of words on a page down to 200 to 300. Many sites break up longer articles into multi-pages, this will be of some inconvenience for your visitors but you will have more room for advertising, your call.

3. Optimized

Let's face it, the average webpage will get most of its traffic from the search engines, mainly Google, although MSN and Yahoo are also worth considering. Optimize your page for Google. Use a simple hierarchy, keep your pages no more than three clicks away from the main page. Linking all your pages to your index page is a good practice, always do this. The search engines will find your page faster if it is linked directly from the main index page of your site.

Using blogging software/structure that comes with such free blogging software as Wordpress will optimize your pages for you. Blogging systems have a linking hierarchy (categories, archives, etc.) that are very search engine friendly. It's almost impossible not to optimize your pages if you're using a blogging system. Plus, you have an RSS feed that will syndicate your content and place it into the search engines very quickly.

Check factors such as Mega Tags, title description and content. Use a robots text file for the search engine robots.

If you're new to building webpages, you may want to check out Google's Webpage Creator, you can create your pages and have it hosted free by Google and they will be indexed immediately in Google. Big Plus! http://www.pages.google.com

4. Easy Navigation

A great webpage will have easy and simple navigation. Link your page to and from your main index page if you can. Make sure you link to it from your sitemap page. Many webmasters put all the main links on their site at the top or the bottom of all their webpages, so that a visitor can freely move around and find what they're looking for. Keep your visitors' comfort level in mind at all times.

Double check to see all links on your webpage work! You may be surprised how many don't work, especially if you link out to other sites. The search engines don't like broken links, neither will your visitors.

Also double check to see if all images on your page display properly. Nothing will bring down the quality of your page than images that don't load.

5. Fresh Content

A great webpage will always have fresh content. Make sure you update your webpage often. Our world's technology changes rapidly, make sure your material is current and still relevant.

Remember, 9 times out of 10, the only reason a visitor is on your page is for information. Make sure you deliver. Make sure that information is recent and accurate. Besides, there is nothing like fresh content to keep your visitors interested and coming back for more.

6. Bookmarkable

A great webpage will always be bookmarkable. Your visitor will want to bookmark your page and return to it for more information. Make sure you make it easy for your visitor to bookmark your page. Use a bookmark script. Make sure you have a favicon, this is a small logo you place on your site and it will be automatically picked up and displayed in your visitor's bookmarks, drawing attention to your page. Consider a bookmark and favicon like bread crumbs, all leading the visitor back to your page.

7. Cool Factor

Every great webpage should have a WOW factor! Try to make your page stand out from the crowd. Try to make it unique, try to make it cool. Just remember, a simple professional webpage with valuable information is always cool. And remember there is nothing like a little good 'word of mouth' to get some traffic drawing PR for your page. Great buzz about your webpage is worth its worth in gold.

So the next time you're designing a webpage, go all out and try to create your webpage with all of the characteristics listed above. Start with your keywords, keep it simple, proof-read and test for coding errors, create good navigation and optimize for the search engines, make sure you provide valuable fresh content and information. Last but not least, try your hardest to make your webpage memorable and bookmarkable. Make it a professional webpage that will be superior to the majority of other pages on the web.

Aim high and you will reap the rewards.

Amazing Article Marketing - Announcing 4 Popular Steps to Energize Your Article Marketing

If you have been using article marketing but can't seem to achieve your projected numbers or can't seem to attract enough attention online, I'd say you need to energize your marketing strategies. Here's how:

1. If your clickthrough rate is not that impressive, it sends a strong signal that there is something wrong with your titles. They are not effective in grabbing online users' attention that is why your articles remain unread. This can easily be remedied by editing and improving your titles to make them more interesting, intriguing, and truly compelling. Start by using powerful words on your headlines that are proven to evoke action and communicate the benefits that your readers can get from your content upfront.

2. If your clickthrough rate is skyrocketing but you can't seem to convert readers to potential clients, it only means one thing; you have great, well-written titles but your content is not that impressive. That is why people open your articles but close them even before they reach your resource box. To easily convince online users to check on your website, you need to offer them useful and valuable information on your articles. You need to let them know that you are an expert on your chosen niche and you possess the type of information that they need. Thus, strive to make your content well-written, informative, useful, and valuable to the lives of your readers. By doing this, you will surely be able to increase your clickthrough rate by tenfold.

3. The quantity of your articles is a crucial element in article marketing. Even if you are able to produce compelling articles but if they are just few, you will still not be able to generate enough attention online. To boost the number of your inbound links (that can help you pull up your search engine ranking) and to strengthen your online presence, strive to multiply the number of your articles. If you have the money to spare, you can hire a ghostwriter who can offer you with great copies for reasonable prices. If you are on a tight budget, you can do the legwork and just extend your writing hours so you can produce more copies.

4. Monitor your performance. Make it a habit to check the performance of your articles by knowing how many times they were opened and read. Identify the copies that are not performing well so you can improve on them and make them more enticing to the eyes of online users.

How To Use Content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Use your keywords in your headlines with proper HEADING tags. Search engines pay special attention to the information within H1, H2, H3 tags. Put your most important keywords and information in your H1 tag. Start your page content as close to the top of the page as possible.

(Note: The above "tags" are not using any brackets due to the fact that this site does not allow HTML in it's articles. If you need to learn basic HTML please check out the following site for more information regarding HTML: www.w3schools.com/html/)

Start your first paragraph with a sentence that contains some of your keywords. For a page from www.worldwidemusic.com, the keyword "music" could be used about 10 times. Make sure that your content makes sense and use your keywords as you would in speaking to a person in conversation.

Hyper-link your keywords; for example, "click here for more information about Brazilian Music" with the keywords "Brazilian Music" as the anchor text or hyper link.

Not all search engine robots are created equal; the menu or navigation panel on your site is what they use to get to your other pages, creating a complex java script menu looks pretty to the human eye, but to some robots it might be complicated for them to navigate.

Solution: create a keyword text link navigation bar at the bottom of the page so that all of your pages make their way into the index. This encourages your visitors to explore other pages and using keywords as the hyper-links on your navigation bar or menu highlights them again for the search engine robots.

Create an XML site map here: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ .

and upload it to your web hosting server. Then go to: http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ to register it with Google and get site activity information.

Remember that Content is king and the SE's love it. Treat your content right and it will return the favor!

Top 10 SEO Copywriting

What would happen if? I'm a person to always ask that question. I love testing and tracking to see what factors can improve or worsen a situation. So, it was only natural for me to track the moves of a little experiment I did involving SEO copywriting recently. I'll gladly share my findings with you.

Before I do, however, I want to make a couple of things very clear. The outcome of this experiment will not be the same for every keyphrase on every page of every site. There are too many unknown factors at play in the overall SEO equation. Not to mention, all keyphrases are not the same, and all sites are not the same. In addition, this experiment takes no account of link popularity, which is a huge factor in achieving high rankings. With that said, let me show you how I took the home page of one of my sites - that didn't even rank in the top 50 - and caused it to rank in the top 10.

First of all, I'm not a big fan of checking rankings on a regular basis. I don't run ranking reports for all my sites to be sure they are all in the positions I want them in for every given keyphrase. I'll do it from time to time just to satisfy my own occasional curiosity. This experiment began when I noticed the home page of one of my sites was ranking highly for a keyphrase that didn't seem to appear anywhere in the text. Upon further investigation, I saw that the keyphrase was included in the ALT tags (a.k.a. image attribute tags) and that it was also included in the title tag.

I knew ALT tags previously carried a lot of weight with the engines, but had been downgraded in importance because site owners had badly abused the tag. Had ALT tags been reinstated in their level of importance? I decided to find out.

Keyword #1 was currently in the ALT tags and the title tag, so I decided to eliminate the keyword in the title tag. This would let me see if the ALT tags alone could hold the position in the search engine results pages (SERPs). To make things more interesting, I also decided to research and find a keyword that was a little more competitive and insert it into the title tag. On the same day I removed Keyword #1 from the title tag, I inserted Keyword #2. My home page was not ranked in the top 50 at that time for Keyword #2.

A few days later, the Googlebot came by and boosted my home page to position #18 for Keyword #2. Not bad! The page fell one spot (from #17 to #18) for Keyword #1 since the removal of the phrase from the title tag.

Keep in mind, these are not the most competitive keywords ever known. They each got between 100 to 200 searches a day. Also, the home page of this particular site had been (and still is) well ranked for years for other keyphrases and had a positive legacy with Google.

Five days later, Keyword #2 was moved up three notches to a ranking of #14 while Keyword #1 stayed the same. Things remained in their status quo for roughly 10 days and then began to shift again. Keyword #1, the original that was previously in both the ALT tags and the title tag, vanished completely. It was not found in the top 50. Keyword #2, that was only found in the title tag and nowhere else, dropped to position #25.

Four days later, Keyword #2 was back up in the rankings and was now at #16. To see if I could improve rankings further, I began to make small tweaks to the page attributes. I added Keyword #2 to the ALT tags (taking the places where Keyword #1 had once been), and I also added Keyword #2 to the body copy. The keyphrase was added to one, bold sub-headline and at three places within the body copy: none of which were above the fold. It was not added to any primary headlines that used tags, and no keyword density formula was followed for the body copy. No other pages on my site used this term as anchor text in links pointing to the home page. That gave the page keyword placement in the:

Title tag

ALT tags

Body copy

Seven days later, the home page hit the top 10 for Keyword #2!

So, what does all this mean? Simple. There is no single primary factor in search engine rankings. It takes balance, testing and tracking to find out what works for your particular pages. Your best bet is to do exactly what I did begin one step at a time and track your progress. Did something cause a positive movement? Keep it. If something causes a negative shift, take it out.

I'm not finished with this page yet. I'll keep trying different things from time to time just to see what happens. Maybe I'll add anchor text links from the internal pages to the home page. I might try writing articles with keyword-rich anchor text links to help boost the rankings more. There are many acceptable practices I can implement for this page (or any page) that will allow me to observe the shifts in ranking. As the old saying goes, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." A diversified approach to SEO copywriting that includes tags, copy and links is always a wise start down the road to top 10 rankings.

Article Marketing

There are so many different variants available in regards to article marketing that it is difficult to narrow it down to even the top few. Suffice it to say that they all have one very common factor. All of them are going to need articles in order to get anything done. All of them rely heavily on the written word to generate a well-known name associated with a topic or subject, to generate traffic to their web site and ultimately to decide how well the people marketing the articles will be financially speaking.

Perhaps it can honestly be said that nowhere is the power of the written word more important or more blatantly obvious than it is with article marketing of any sorts. Whether you are referring to the actual articles or even the very important signature file that will include links to your site, the power of the written word will be the ultimate deciding factor between your success and failure. How much attention your articles will get depends on how well they are written, the content that is contained within them and the number of people you can put them in front of.

All of these factors together will decide your ultimate success but you will not be able to get anywhere with any of it if nobody is going to be able to read your articles. That is not to say that it is important to be an expert author in every sense of the word. Many e-books and articles are not by any means, the best written in history but the actual content they contain is worth more than just a little struggling to get through the less than spectacular writing contained within them. However, neither are they so poorly written that it becomes a chore to suffer through each sentence and translation is necessary simply to try and decipher what was written there.

It is certainly preferable not to have any errors at all in your writing. However, even some basic grammatical errors or the occasional misplaced synonym or homonym may be able to pass muster. With the improved word processors which are readily available for free, it is a little more difficult to justify spelling errors but even these can be overlooked if the content makes up for the lack of writing. All things being equal, when it comes to article marketing, the content of your articles should be the primary focus of your attentions.

Very few people disagree that the signature file is going to be a prevalent part of the successful combination necessary for article marketing. Still, it must be kept in mind that not many people are even going to read your signature file if they do not read the majority of your article in the first place. A balance must be struck and you must capture the people first with the words of your article. Once that is completed; then you can worry about getting people to click on your signature file.

The signature file is where the link to your primary web site is going to be placed for people to find you. Only if you have managed to get their attention with your article will they really be left craving more information. If you have succeeded in planting a seed of desire in the readers, they will look at your signature file and may even click through to your web site to find out more information. Only then will you have a real chance to make your article marketing a success.

After all of that is said and done, you must have even more unique and more in-depth material on your website for their perusal. If they can get all of the information that they need from the articles that you have posted, why are they going to bother coming to your site, much less ever returning to spend any time on your web site. Your ultimate success will depend not only on getting people to your site, but getting them to return as well. Once you have begun to build a steady stream of traffic, you will have a much better opportunity to increase customer conversions and turn them into money-makers for you.

Being successful in Article Marketing will depend on many different factors but the bottom line is that you will have to use the power of persuasion to accomplish this. You will have to use the power of the written word if you want to persuade anybody. There are many very successful Internet Marketers involved in Article Marketing because it is a very profitable niche and possible to work in about any field or with any subject that they desire. It still all hinges on the ability to convey meanings, ideas and emotions with the power of the written word however.

Website Assessment Criteria - Link Popularity Building

By website assessment criteria, we realize that link popularity building leads to higher search engine ranking. In other words, higher search engine ranking of a website happens when it receives large number of high-quality inbound links.

Link Popularity Building Discovery

Discovering how far our competitors gone in link popularity Building helps us a lot. It's an important website assessment criteria that requires maximum attention.

How should we do this? By referring to search engines. Some search engines show more (minor) incoming links to a website, but Google shows less number of (major) incoming links.

To find out how many inbound links you've got from other websites, you just need to do the following at major search engines:

* At Google, type: link: www(dot)DomainName(dot)com

* At Yahoo, type: www(dot)DomainName(dot)com

* At MSN, type: link: www(dot)DomainName(dot)com

Near the top of the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs), you will see the number of pages adding a link to your site. Of course, you can also go down the page and see the pages linking to you.

Importance of Gaining Inbound Links

The more inbound links you get, the better link popularity building you've led. It will be proper answer to this website assessment criteria which leads to higher ranking as well as higher visibility. In other words, searchers find you closer to the top of the first (two) result pages. It simply means more traffic.

From search engines' point of view, the popularity of your website plays an important role in increasing the value of a website. So, link popularity building should be an integral part of your internet marketing. Each incoming link is a vote to the credit of your website.

By launching this website assessment criteria, you figure out the link popularity of your competitors as well. If they have large number of inbound links, it could indicate the high-quality content and usefulness of their website.

Inbound Links - Quality or Quantity?

Although the number of inbound links matter, the quality is much more important. To receive a few high-quality links from other websites is much better than having tens or even hundreds of them coming from low-quality sites.

To have better search engine ranking, you should follow this website assessment criteria and lead a link popularity building campaign on a regular basis.

What determines the quality of the link-sending website?

* The page rank of the link-sending page,

* The high ranking of the website in search engines,

* The richness of the content at link-sending website,

* The content relevancy of the link-sending webpage,

* The authority of link-sending website in your industry,

* The anchor text of the inbound links,

* The keyword in the alt tags of the link-sending banners,

* The source of the directory links (Yahoo and DMOZ being the best), and

* The industry relevancy of the directory links.

When you do well in this website assessment criteria, you receive a lot of inbound links that helps the indexation of your website too.

Different Types of Inbound Links

The best type of link you should work to obtain is one-way link. In other words, they are the links for the acquisition of which you don't have to post a link in return. In other methods, you have to add a link to the same site in return (reciprocal linking) and some times, you post a link to another web site (three-way linking). None of other methods could help your site like one-way links.

Linking strategy to receive lots and lots of inbound links is a very important part of your online marketing. You should spend some time on devising an excellent plan to increase your site's popularity. Then, you should dedicate some time on a regular basis to take action persistently. In the long run, you'll see the precious results of doing so.

It's not easy, but it's worth doing it. Once an influx of enthusiast visitors comes to your site, you'll see how this website assessment criteria, link popularity building efforts have helped boost your online business.

It's through website assessment that you become aware of how you and your competitors are doing in link popularity building. It needs to be taken more seriously.

Article Marketing Strategies Revealed

Article Marketing has emerged very fast as one of the best methods to design a successful business online, especially when your resources are limited.

Take care to maintain the quality of your write-ups. If you need to successfully come up with a sound article, you must write only good quality articles that readers will be eager to check out all through.

One of the major features of your article should be the title. Think carefully about a title that will grab the attention of your readers immediately. Your title is the marketing tool for your article. More often than not, your article will be indexed together with a bunch of other articles. Generally people skim through the titles only of the articles and decide by that which one to read up. If your article begins with an interesting title then more and more readers will get hooked to it. If your title is boring and uneventful, few people will stop by read your write-up.

A good introduction to your article shows the quality of the rest of the article. Inform the reader what is in your article for them and how they will benefit from reading it.

When the introduction is over, come to a new paragraph and then start the main body of your article. Divide it into separate paragraphs from every point you want to talk about. Having paragraphed points makes it comfortable to the eyes and mind to grasp the meaning of them and makes for an attractive presentation. The main gist of this paragraph should contain between three and ten points that you wish to cover. It is not necessary to cover all the points that you are aware of on the subject.

End the article with as good a conclusion as the introduction. Review the points you discussed in the foregoing paragraphs and the benefits they will receive if they follow your suggestions.

When the article is all done and ready, scan it through a spelling and grammar checker so that before submitting your article you are sure that your article is perfect which will save you the time to laboriously go through each and every word for manual confirmation.

Not much is needed to get started with article writing and probably by now you already possess the fundamental tools that are needed. This can result in a profitable online business when approached in the correct fashion. Many easy steps are out there to open the avenues for striking business opportunities through excellent articles.

You can begin by offering your articles for sale. Several blogs, websites, and news sites regularly need new articles for content. You can consider writing articles on subjects you are competent in and sell them to blog owners and web masters. However, it is obvious that the articles you write should confirm to certain quality standards if you wish to sell them at the price your article deserves. If you are the owner of your own website or blog you can show your articles there also. There is no alternative to latest and fresh content and hence new material will always keep your website or blog relevant.

If you have some knowledge about Search Engine Optimization or SEO then it will be an added advantage for you because the more traffic your website or blog attracts through your articles the better for you. You should learn the fundamentals of search engine optimization in terms of keywords and keyword density.

Truly speaking, it is very much possible to succeed in online writing and marketing articles. Your effective online business is only a stone's throw away. Start writing quality articles now and you are on your way to a successful internet business.

Diversified Marketing - Beating a Different Drum of Marketing Concepts

You know, there are some days when it really doesn't matter what you do, it just all comes out wrong. Today may be the closest I've come to one of those days in a long while. But all these crisis gave me an opportunity to vent my spleen about the basic issues of marketing, with an unusual twist.

1. Marketing Gurus rank high because they use keywords.

Have you ever met a marketing guru that didn't talk in keyword phrases and niche jargon? I'm not sure they exist. It's frustrating, but true. They seem to understand the words they use and the phrases that come out of their mouths, but the rest of us are sitting in the corner wondering when they'll shut up. Effective? Perhaps. Their points are made within the context of what they do, who they're talking to, and the niche they develop. Those of us sitting in the corner are not part of their market. The solution, find a different guru to listen to.

2. Links revitalize and article or kill it.

Following the rules doesn't even guarantee you'll be published. For some stupid reason there are always specific rules that when you follow them to the letter, someone disagrees with your perception. If you slip outside the narrow path of leadership, your steps are taken out of context and you probably won't have a clue why. Links are one of those issues. Links to one person may not constitute links to another. If you refer to a website, by name, that's a link. If you use the html code, that's a link, but if you refer to a website by the title of the page, that's NOT a link. Let me hit that link with one last slam of the hammer before I move on to the next paragraph!

3. Move on by that issue and find a new one.

The options are clear. You can stick with your Marketing Guru who isn't making any sense and hang onto your links, continuing to lag behind in the industry, or you can move on. Write another article, change the title, and move right into the next phase of your business existence online. Give yourself a break and step over the mud puddle. You can get where you want to go without walking through the muck of fixing the Guru, rewriting the link, or going back through the hassle. Just simply move on. If your priorities include that one event, and you can't get past it, do it. Then move forward immediately with a new project.

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest Profitable Steps to Accelerate Your Article Marketing

When expert marketers say that article marketing is the best tool to generate traffic to your site, they were not lying. In fact, this technique has become so popular that almost all webmasters and even blog owners have started writing and submitting articles to publishing sites. The reward that you can get from utilizing this method is truly amazing. Aside from improved traffic, you can also expect higher page ranking and better profit as long as you are consistently writing and submitting quality articles.

Here are the latest steps to accelerate your article marketing:

1. Widely distribute your articles. Contrary to popular belief, you can also market your articles to other avenues aside from article submission sites. You can post them on your blog, on your website, or turn them into an eBook. By doing so, you will be able to reach more online users and draw more visitors to site.

2. Focus on one niche. Specialize and choose a field that you are an expert on and write articles about it. Make sure that all your articles are directly relevant to your main topic so you can make your content more targeted to your potential readers.

3. Write more. As you know, the quantity of your article submissions determine the number of links to your website. In order to get the maximum exposure, I suggest that you write at least 5-7 articles per day.

4. Promote your articles. One of the most effective ways of enticing your potential clients to read your articles is through forum posting. You can join online discussion and offer solutions to your target market's problem through your article content.

5. Make your resource box enticing. Remember, one of your main goals in utilizing article marketing is to drive readers to your site. You can easily do that by making your resource box powerful and compelling.

Profitable Article Marketing - Announcing 5 High Powered Secrets to Explode Your Article Marketing

Article marketing isn't just about writing and distributing your articles online. If you would like to succeed in this technique, you must produce quality contents that are useful and relevant to your target niche. It is only through this that your articles will be picked up and republished by other webmasters and publishers.

1. Be productive. Article marketing will require you to write numerous articles for as long as you are running your online business. As such, you must be willing to produce quality articles on a regular basis to continuously improve the number of your links.

2. Sign up with article submission sites that have quick review and posting time. Don't waste your time with publishing sites that takes 3-4 weeks to publish your articles. By that time, your content is no longer timely. Stick with the ones that can post your articles within 24-72 hours just like ezinearticles dot com.

3. Your articles must be easy on the eyes. Lengthy, paragraph form articles that have little or no page break at all can easily turn your readers off. Make your articles readable by breaking your articles into short paragraphs and using bullet points whenever appropriate.

4. After you have submitted your articles, check to see if they are posted online after the review period has lapsed. Sometime, articles are not posted due to broken links, inappropriate content, keyword stuffing, and blatant advertisements. In these cases, you will be asked to re-write your articles so they will conform to the standards set by the publishing sites.

5. Track your progress. Make it a habit to check the click through rate of your articles online and your website traffic to see if there is a noticeable improvement on your numbers. You can use your findings in improving your article marketing techniques.

4 Effective Book Marketing Tips

It can be difficult for new authors to create the kind of publicity needed for book sales, though, not impossible. The most effective ways to market a book is to follow these simple tips.

1. Promote daily.

There are number of ways to market your book, and whether you are sending a book for review, lining up an interview with your local papers, or submitting articles to magazines, authors should make daily contacts. Author-Promotion (www.author-promotion.com) is a resource directory for authors -- comprised of articles, marketing tips, and resources on book promotion. It is great way to get started. Youll be surprised at how much you can accomplish if you make a goal to promote each day.

2. Contact small and major publications.

Authors should also contact national newspapers, reviewers, magazines, or other forms of media. Though all forms of marketing have value, the larger your audience or exposure, the easier it is to generate demand for your books. For example: Reader Views - an online book reviewer, publicity and editing service, is a great place for authors to have their books reviewed, but authors should also request book reviews from well-established reviewers such as Publisher Weekly, Boston Globe, Kirkus Reviews, The Denver Post these are merely samples used to illustrate a point. The same example could also be used when referring to submitting articles, getting interviews, etc.

3. It is essential for authors to promote their web sites.

You must market your web site in order to increase traffic. The best way to promote a web site is by having it ranked among the top of major search engines. When submitting a site for inclusion to search engines, authors may want to try the web optimization feature. Be sure to create meta tags and list the proper keywords that fit your product-related web site. Authors can go to (www.submitexpress.com/) to learn more about meta tags, keywords, and web optimization. In addition, authors can use Google AdSense or have their sites listed on business directories (www.directoriezsubmission.com/). Other ways to increase web traffic is through various advertising methods such as flyers, business cards, or having your content listed on vendor sites. You can also submit your site to the Open Directory Project, and promote your site through writing-related forums and groups.

4. Target organizations for book purchases.

The best way to sell large quantities of authors books is by having organizations like libraries, schools, universities, churches buy them. You can find U.S. public libraries listed here: http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/Libweb/Public_main.html, or do an Internet search to find other organizations of your interest. Do not send unsolicited books. Query first, by either phone or email. Suggest your books title for possible purchase and request the appropriate address and department where you can send a sample review copy of your book along with the descriptive publicity materials, including price and relevant purchasing information. To increase sales, it is best not to contact individual libraries or schools, and instead contact the regional library or county school system of that particular area. By following these marketing tips, you will greatly enhance your ability to effectively market your book.

As part of the Little Guy Network opportunity, you can take full advantage of products that have resell rights. What that means for you is that ultimately, you already have a way to drive traffic to your website right at your fingertips. When you incorporate an SEO strategy into those e-books and other resell products, your Internet marketing strategy will be primed to deliver the qualified prospects that you desire.

Most people wouldn't even attempt to write their own e-book much less their own article, so you can imagine that the resell products you have in your hands are a gold mine! Let's talk a little bit more about using SEO.

Driving traffic to your site using SEO techniques is great, but don't overdo it. Your keyword usage should look natural in your articles, blog posts and advertisements. Many people have a tendency to overuse keywords, thinking that the more these words show up, the better their chances of ranking higher on the search engines. One article says that 15 to 20 percent density is acceptable, but another report will tell you that only 1 to 4 percent is what is actually necessary. Just remember that the key is to have your keyword density look natural in your written web media.

Here's the real problem with overusing keywords. If your web page is over-stuffed with keywords, it will have a tendency to look unprofessional and "spammy" to your audience. This, by the way, will also get you penalized by Google be having your website removed from the search engine.

What should a good site look like? Here are some tips.

1. Don't overuse keywords in title tags and meta description tags. You don't have to stuff in as many keywords as possible to get good results. A few keywords used in your tags and descriptions will go a long way.

2. Tell your audience what you want them to do. If there are too many links or keywords all over the page, your audience might have a hard time figuring out what you want them to do.

3. Avoid misspellings. What professional do you know who would purposefully misspell? It not only looks unprofessional, it looks like you don't care enough about your business to ensure that these types of mistakes didn't happen.

4. Make your page easy to read. This means you'll need compelling titles and easy to read content in order to get them interested in reading what you have to say.

The Little Guy Network opportunity gives you the resources you need to become a success. Just know that a little education in SEO will help you to understand other types of Internet marketing available that can also enhance your marketing strategies. Article Marketing - Your Headline Do's And Don'ts

Article marketing is a very powerful way of generating traffic and reputation for your affiliate marketing business. But you must work at it and do it right to get the great short and long term results that you hope for.

In this article, we will discuss crucial tips for writing your headline that will help increase your readership.

Whether you are writing articles for your affiliate marketing website, blog or to submit to other sites, your article will only attract attention if your headline is worded properly. The first thing that your potential readers and hopefully customers will see is your headline.

Write a great headline and they are hooked, write a dud headline and no-one will read your well thought out, informative copy.

Headline Do's

  • Targeting: Your headline must reflect what your article is about. Imagine coming across a great headline, you click on the article and find it is totally off topic. You would be really disappointed. Also the next time you come across an article by the same author, the trust is no longer there and you would probably pass. Make sure that your headline is related to the content of your article.

  • Teaser: Structure your headline in a way that tells the reader what they are about to read without giving too much away. Try to arouse their curiosity on the topic, make them want to click on your article to read more. A headline ' SEO can dramatically improve your website's traffic' will not have the same pull as 'Discover 3 crucial SEO changes you can make to increase traffic to your website today' Same meaning, different delivery

  • Tone: Hype is a rampant disease on the internet. As with most infective diseases, over-exposure has led to the development of immunity or resistance in the population. So many headlines are so over hyped that they tend to ensure your article will not be read. How often do you take time to read the article with a headline like this? 'How to make $50000 while you sleep, in just 2 weeks'. You want your article's headline to generate excitement but be credible. That way you present yourself as a credible business.

  • Keywords: Try to include your keywords in your headline. Don't overdo it. Including your keyword is good for SEO, and tells your reader what your article is about
Headline Don'ts

  • Tricks: Tricks will just irritate your readers and may offend them. It may come across as you insulting their intelligence. Your business should be presented as a serious business and resorting to trick to get readers will erode your reputation. There are all sorts of tricks eg keyword stuffing that may work in the short term, but in the long term will seriously hurt your business

In a future article, we will discuss tips on writing the body of your article to increase your click through rate.

Article Marketing - Getting A Surge Of Ideas On To Write About

Article Marketing is one of the best ways to generate traffic to a website. However, the most difficult part is coming up with a topic for an article on a regular basis. That's where most people stop and don't get things done. Whether you're writing the articles yourself or hiring a ghostwriter to do it for you, you must know what topics you're going to write about. Here's how you can overcome the "writer's block".

The secret is to read information on various sources and keep a note of any ideas you have for writing an article. There are thousands of resources on the internet which you can read on your niche.

To find existing content, you can visit several ezine directories which are well respected. EzineArticles and GoArticles for instance have quality articles which you can read on. Technorati is also an excellent resource for getting ideas and learning about your niche. It has the latest updates of blogs which you can search for within your market.

Read through many of the article titles and choose the ones you like. Then think of the titles for your own articles and write them down using the notepad program in Windows.

If you spend an hour or two doing this exercise, you'll have over 50 topics to write about by looking through the article title and the ideas you have written for each title.

As well as looking through these free resources, you can also get ideas elsewhere which tell you they are "in-demand" and that people want to know more about. Writing about what people want to know about is the smartest thing you can do.

1. Amazon.com

Go to Amazon.com and to the Books section. Search for your keywords and you will see a list of books that are ranked in order of popularity. Read the descriptions of the books and find out why they're popular. People buy the books for a reason. Concentrate on writing articles for topics that are "hot".

2. Clickbank.com

Go to Clickbank and visit the MarketPlace section. http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace Go to the category which your niche is related to and look at the top products which are selling well. Again, these are products which are "in-demand" and people are interested in the information. Go to the sales page of these products and get ideas from them. Look at the bullet points and the features/benefits of their products and write about each one of them.

3. Forums.

Go to forums which are related to your niche and look for threads which have lots of recent replies to them. Find out and see if the post is about a certain topic in your niche which the community wants to know more about.

Using this system, you'll never have a shortage of what to write about. If there's something new with your niche that you don't know about then read up on it and write an article in your own words on the new thing which you've learnt.

Now go through the list you've written on your notepad one by one and start writing your articles.

Article Marketing Success Tip - How To Write A Killer Resource Box

The whole point of article marketing is to establish yourself as an expert in your market niche as you want the reader to visit your web page. That is a given.

So, you work hard to write article, but if your resource box is poorly written. You will have a very very low click through rate. But that is no big deal because I am going to show you how to create an awesome resource box that will skyrocket your click through.

So the first thing you want to do is understand your market in niche. What is the underlying psychology that will drive the reader to visit your web page?

Let's take the dating niche for example. In your resource box you do not want to say "visit my webpage for more dating tips" because that is too general. But rather if you want to make it more specific and beneficial to the reader. Such as "I am a dating coach and I would like to invite you to my website where you can get a free five day mini-course on how to approach women"

That the more detailed and more benefit your resource box, the higher your click through rate. Sounds good in theory but in reality. You have to constantly track how good your click through rate is by installing a stat code into your web page (such as Google analytic)

Another tip is to write a short three to five page report in .PDF format and offer to give it away free to your readers in order to entice them to visit your webpage. This works very well because if the reader's interest in your article. He will naturally, visit your webpage, because of the awesome report.

So in order to have article marketing success you have to have a killer resource box that has a high click through rate, Otherwise you're a whole article marketing attempt this is just going to be one big flop.

How To Use Keywords To Optimise Your Web Site

There are many articles about how to find keywords for your site. I've written a few myself. However once you have them, how do you use them on your website to make sure it attracts a lot of traffic from the search engines?

Well here is the answer!

So, how do you use keywords to optimise your web site?

The key to successfully optimising your website is in making good use of your keywords on your web pages. To do this, there are three main considerations. They are:

How many keywords to use
How often to use them
Where to use them

How many keywords to use

It is not wise to optimise your web page using lots of different keywords. You should really focus on one or two keywords for each web page.

Incidentally when I refer to keywords I am also talking about keyword phrases.

How often should you use your keywords?

This is a question for which there is no exact answer. However a sensible guideline is to use each of your keywords no more than 4 or 5 times on a web page that contains between 300 to 400 words.

The key thing is not to overdo using your keywords. If you try to stuff your keywords into your page as often as you can your will probably end up with a meaningless web page that will just turn your customers off. There is also evidence that the search engines are penalising keyword stuffing.

Where to use your keywords:

Title tag.

This is an extremely important tag and it must include at least your main keyword. It is also this title text that appears when your page is listed by a search engine, so it needs to be compelling as well as include your keywords.

Ideally the title should be no more than 100 characters including spaces. Google displays unto 66 characters, Yahoo much more.

Also, get your main keyword in early in the title text. For example, on a web page aimed at offering web optimising advice to small businesses and the keyword for the page is "web optimising" I might use the following Title:

Web Optimising for Small Businesses

Alternatively if my keyword for the page is "small businesses" I might switch the Title to be:

Small Business Web Optimising

Description Tag.

Most search engines check the description tag to get a good understanding of what the web page is about. So you must include your keywords in this tag. Also many search engines use the description tag when displaying your web page in their search listing results.

So, make it compelling, include your keywords and keep it to no more than 200 characters (including spaces).

Headings.

The heading tags (ie: h1, h2, etc) are considered of importance by the search engines and therefore you should include your keywords in these headings whenever you can.

Content.

The main copy of your web page should also use your keywords. However it is important to remember that the copy is there to convert your customer to do something once they have arrived at the web page. If the copy does not guide them to taking the action you want them to take then getting your customer to the page has all been for nothing. So, write the page with the purpose in mind and try to work the keywords in naturally into the content.

Incidentally some pundits state that you should include your keywords near the top of the page as this effects the rating the search engines apply to your page. I'm not sure if that is true, however if I were a visitor to your site that found you through keywords on a search engine I would find it welcoming to find those keywords early in my reading of your page.

Links.

Use your keywords in any links to your page from within your own web site and ideally where you can on links from external web sites. Search engines following these links will pick up on these keywords as being relevant to your page.

Alt tag.

On all your images, use the alt tag and include your keywords in the text. Obviously the text needs to be relevant to the image. Using the alt tag is important for addressing web site accessibility which is now a legal requirement in many countries. Also, search engines read this text and use it for indexing your site.

Follow the guidelines in this article on how to use keywords to optimise your web site and I'm sure you will soon see increased traffic to your site.

Could Online Marketing Work For You?

Like most of us, you're probably fed up with having to deal with your boss and the usual nine-to-five grind. After months of careful research, you've decided to "take the plunge" and start your own business. You've set up a great business plan and your friends and family say they are behind you one hundred percent. Now it's time to advertise so that everyone else will know what a wonderful business you have.

But where do you start?

Do you buy print advertising in your local newspaper?

Buy some air time on your local television or radio station?

Arrange to have a full page ad in the local yellow pages of your phone book?

Do you hand out flyers to everyone you meet?

Those methods work, but only insofar as reaching your immediate area and your ability to immediately track the results of anyone campaign.

You have big plans for growing your business in the future, but everyone keeps telling you to be careful and keep it local until you establish yourself. Besides, you're going to need to use any initial profits you make to pay for all that fancy advertising you've set up.

Unless your friends and family have their own booming business, why are you even listening to them? If you're reading this, then you are aware of at least part of the power of the internet, so why not utilize this formidable promotional tool?

Power of Online Marketing At A Glance

Online advertising is plug and play: Any type of print advertising has to be set up and scheduled; flyers and newspapers may take several days and an ad in your local phone book may not come out until many months down the road.

Online advertising gives you control: You've decided to offer your customers a special discount: you can immediately add a coupon and adjust what you need to right on your website rather than having to wait for someone at the print shop or newspaper to get around to it.

Online advertising is not just cost effective...it is cheaper: you get more "bang for your buck" online. Rather than having to pay higher prices for print work and distribution costs, you can use the money you save on advertising to add to your merchandise. If you are looking to go "Green" (An added bonus is that you'll also help environmentally because you're using little, if any, natural resources to promote your business! )

Online advertising can be interactive: Instead of just seeing a flat, two dimensional image, you can catch your customer's eye with all sorts of "bells and whistles"! Audio and visual enhancements invite your customers to involve themselves to a much greater extent than just looking at a newspaper ad or flyer. There is an added benefit to advertising online and that is you can also include additional information as part of your customer testimonials and Frequently Asked Questions ( or FAQs ).

Online advertising can be easily tracked: If you do any sort of print advertising, the only tangible means of tracking how effective your campaign is, or at least part of it, is to use coupons that the customers have to redeem. Even then, it's difficult to know exactly who is responding to any of your advertising. Online advertising can easily be measured and broken down into very specific results. Aside from tracking individual sales, there are ways of tracking which web pages have been seen. This is a great tool to use to help you refine your advertising and be much more responsive to your customers.

Online advertising receives feedback: You can immediately change your sales process, product and promotion by asking your customers for feedback right on your site. If you know exactly what your customers want, your sales will go through the roof.

Online advertising works: If it didn't, it wouldn't be enticing national advertisers to continue to increase their online advertising budgets by twenty-five percent each year!

You have seen all the benefits of online marketing and how it can establish or improve you current business.

So what are you waiting for? Get your marketing started! What have you got to lose?
