Review of Tim Gorman's The Power of Article Marketing from The System Seminar 2007

The first part of Tim's presentation was an introduction to his background. Most impressively, he works full time for the military from 6:30 am to 8:30 PM. This leaves him only the evening hours to focus on his 4-5 figure business. So Tim explains to us that if he can do this after working a full day and coming home at night tired, then we can certainly do it too. Tim has about 100 websites out there so far. He did have more, but a bunch were wiped out when his domain name registrar went under.

Tim starts the meat of his presentation quickly. He tells us that with the power of article marketing, we can:
1) Compete in highly niche topics
2) Receive traffic within 24-48 hours after the first article submission
3) Almost immediately start earning money
4) Create a daily income of $5 to $15 for each website
5) Identify the hot niche topics to further monetize

Tim's secret weapon is ezinearticles.com. If you are familiar with the 80/20 rule, you should be focusing most of your attention on ezinearticles.com. Learn that site well and you'll most likely get the best results from it.

Captain Gorman shares some monetization strategies with us including:
1) Putting adsense on our sites
2) Selling affiliate products
3) Selling ebooks (through private label rights, or our own ebooks)
4) Selling ClickBank.com products
5) Building a mailing list

Tim then shared with us the parts of a great article:
1) An effective title
2) An effective article summary
3) A good quality article (the body)
4) A great resource box with a call to action

He gives us some tips on the title, including making it shocking, keyword rich, or both. He gives some great (and humorous) examples of effective titles.

Next Tim gives us some advice for the body of the article. He tells us we need quality content, short paragraphs, numbers or bullets, subheadings, and keywords in the articles. He shares that keyword density is not super important in his experience.

The resource box is an extremely important part of article marketing. You can put a link in your resource box to send readers directly to your site and also for the linking benefits. Tim also mentions the concept of deep linking (linking to a page within your site, not just the home page).

Things got fun after that...

Tim shared exactly what he does in his 6 step approach:
1) Choose 3 Niche Topics
2) Build a Small 5 Page Site for Each Topic
3) Use articles to determine which of the three he should focus on
4) Perform his "Article Blitz" on that website
5) Start getting high pr one way links
6) Repeat steps 1-5

He went on to tell us exactly what he does and how he does it. This is part one of a three part article.

Article Marketing - Why My Articles Disappear From Google First Page After A Couple Of Weeks?

If you are wondering why your articles disappear a couple of weeks after they hit the first page of Google, you want to read this article.

Many people wonder were is this 'magic' lifetime traffic everyone is talking about, but the problem is that they start with highly competitive niches like Internet marketing or make money online.

Should you submit articles with the same keywords again and again or you need to alternate the keywords for different articles?

Or do you need to ignore those keyphrases since you know that your articles won't last long in the different search engines?

First, your rankings have a lot to see with the keyword you choose for your articles.

Secondly, it depends on your niche as well. For example, when you start with one of the most competitive niches, you have thousands and thousands of competitors submitting articles with the exact same keywords.

I am not saying that you can't make money in a competitive niche. You can, but other niches are not so crowded and your articles will be found more often in the search engines.

I would advise to vary the keywords you are targeting. Plus you don't need to always write with your keywords in mind. The more articles you get out there, the more income.

As for articles disappearing for the search results after a couple of weeks, this is normal. Competition is one of the factor that affect your rankings. Plus you also have an initial boost when you are on the first page of the article directory.

But remember, it's a web page and every single web page need a lot of incoming links to rank well.

Keep writing articles with great keywords and long tails as well. Don't give up. Remember that article marketing works very well for smaller niche.

To find more great keywords for your articles, you need to use the wordtracker tool. They have a free trial as well.

How to Improve Search Engine Placement

Are you intent on achieving higher placement, rankings and readership for your website? If so, here are a few proven SEO fundamentals known for achieving optimal search engine placement.

The strategies covered in this article are excellent for improving search engine positioning as well as promoting recognition of your content, which develops trust rank and authority over time. Examples of this marketing tactic are prevalent in industries ranging from fortune 500 companies, non profit organizations, and social media networks as well as small businesses and individual blogs. Regardless of market or niche, the results are consistent top 10 placement and VIP status in search engines.

So, what is this closely guarded Seo secret that supercedes page rank? It is Website Trust & Authority, so let's take a look at how to earn it for your website and all subsequent pages published from your URL.

How to create Trust Rank and Website Authority for improving search engine placement for your Niche

One well known secret amongst industry experts is developing relevant content using exact match broad search terms and surrounding it with contextual (more specific) links and useful resources. For example, if you build a website based on this strategy (like Wikipedia's 1.9 million articles in the US for example) search engine algorithms associate your website as an authority since you are creating relevance for the various communities that comprise the web. The reward for such a contribution is hub status otherwise noted as pure search engine visibility. This is essentially because the prime directive of search engines is to provide users with the most relevant results that correspond to their query, essentially giving them what they want and when they want it (without the clutter).

Websites are evaluated with scrutiny from a wide array of criteria from search engine algorithms, their primary method to assess your site is through the use of spiders to collect snapshots of your content. It is the spider (otherwise known as a user agent, or web bot) that gathers data from all crawlable pages to assess if websites are providing valuable content, or fail to deliver relevance beyond their own self serving motives (we are the best, biggest, leading, professional, keyword, keyword, in our city, state, planet,etc.).

In which case, sites containing such generic terms rarely appeal to the Google bot, Slurp or other user agents that scour the web looking for truly UNIQUE content to assign authority and elevate in the algorithm. If you give the spiders what they want, they will return more frequently to glean your pages and assign rankings for your new pages as well as revive older pages you may have long since forgotten. Page rank is by the page, so essentially to increase your potential return on investment, each page of your website can target high volume key words with laser like precision if optimized properly.

One example of website authority, is when you see two web pages returned in a search query from the same website. This is a by-product of authority, multiple pages in your site that have the ability to rank independently equal a higher probability for conversion. This type of search engine placement occurs (multiple listings) when one or more of your keywords are common denominators on several pages.

It is important to vary the context of the keywords and not to group them too close together in your body copy. There are two reasons for this, (1) you could set off spam filters in the algorithm and impact your rankings in a negative fashion through penalties and (2) keywords grouped too closely rank are considered one keyword and only rank well if someone were searching for them the way they appear in the group. A keyword density of 3-5% for the total number of words on your page is sufficient of roughly one keyword per sentence, with no more than 3 per paragraph. Writing in this fashion will keep you well within the appropriate keyword density for achieving higher rankings as well as score points with the humans that read your posts.

When developing new content for your website, try surrounding your keywords with adjectives or qualifiers to augment their contextual impact (affordable, professional, best, etc.). This also provides excellent long-tail search results (unintentional optimization for your pages) when prospects are using longer queries in search engines to find related content. You should optimize EACH PAGE on your site for specific keywords (in order to broaden your net of catch phrases or keywords) for the web.

Elements known to create website authority and trust rank in search engines are:

1. Relevant Content
2. Consistent Updates to Your Pages
3. Deep Linking from Authoritative Sources

Relevant Content

Relevant content can be classified by factors such as it's usefulness, the vocabulary used to convey the message or conclusion or the resources it references. In addition content that is easy to read, copy that compels the reader to take action or piques their interest will typically garner a larger audience in the blog or social networking community for example, which translates to the ability to monetize your site with sponsored advertising programs, banners, etc.

When creating a new page, ask yourself does the content truly leave the viewer satiated with a sense of satisfaction? If so you have fulfilled their reason for visiting in the first place and will strike a chord with them. The result, trust which is favorable for sales conversion.

Write every page this way and you can determine who reads your content based on the optimization utilized, using your titles and descriptions as signal flares for search engines to identify the context of your pages. The real secret here is in tweaking the pages which leads into the next point.

Consistent Updates to your Pages

Refresh your content regularly to improve search engine rankings. It is a known fact, websites that refresh their content regularly can acquire hub or authority status.

A website can gain authority from exhibiting unique patterns which distinguish them from other sites such as

(a) a steady flow or increase in traffic
(b) increased link popularity from other sites proving valuable one way links (Wikipedia is an example of this)
(c) a healthy ratio of inbound to outbound links to or from other related sites.

This is why blogs for example, organically rank higher in search engines than most pages, since they are by their very nature aligned with the principles of what search engine algorithms reward. If you are not using a blog on your own server within your site as a subdirectory or sub domain, I would highly suggest it, due to the long term benefits it can provide for keeping all of your pages crawled regularly from search engines. This also works well in tandem to making tweaks and adjustments to your keywords, titles and descriptions which invariably have their impact on improving rankings.

The description tag, the bin and the ability to rank again and again for multiple keywords on each page:

One SEO secret for long-tail search engine optimization is, in your description tag for each page, try to use tactfully written "exact match terms" as much as possible for the main keywords on your page. One other point to note if you are optimizing your pages specifically for Google. Google has a memory of every revision you have every made to your site, so every page title and every description you every wrote for your pages is stored in a profile (known as the bin) for your site, when someone types a query, it checks the bin for an exact or partial match and then returns the most appropriate response from any number of websites and respective pages within those sites (you can see this in the description of the search results, they change based upon your query). So, in essence, the more you update your pages strategically, the more frequently Google returns and catalogs your content, the more keywords you can amass for each page in your website.

This is a true gem of knowledge if you realize that, even though you may have changed the page, the original version and all versions since are still in the bin, so imagine each page on your site being able to rank for terms that may or may not still exist those pages but still are indexed in the digital ghost of your pages. This means that over time, through strategic planning, you can build each page up for specific keywords and subsequent rankings associated with those keywords.

This is why you always hear experts in the SEO industry stating to refresh your content. By tweaking your website i.e. re-optimizing your pages (recycling your pages, tightening up the content or changing titles, descriptions and keyword variations) you compound the ranking potential for each page in your site. Using the bin / memory theory, you can continually optimize your pages for broader or more specific search terms. You can still rank for keywords, sentences or paragraphs that existed on your pages months ago as well as still return search results from the current re-optimized keywords that may be more in tune with the times.

Deep Linking from Authority Sites

Last but not least, one of the final ingredients in improving search engine ranking and gaining website authority is links. The more relevant the link the better, but more importantly if you can acquire links from websites with trust rank, unique C Class IP addresses (the first 8000 URL's created), or social networking or bookmarking sites such as web 2.0 sites like Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us, etc. This can dramatically impact your own website authority, since websites with high page rank and thousands of inbound links have the ability to pass on their VIP influence from search engines to your site over time through one-way permanent links.

This is a legitimate method which requires patience, persistence and perseverance to attain the goal, but any noteworthy accomplishment can be measured by the fruit of it's labor. One thing to consider, is not loading up your home page with links from other sites, this appears unnatural, if you are using directories, blogs, social networking sites or article marketing to expand your search engine visibility, then make sure that when applicable that your spread the links evenly to sub directories, or less popular pages in your site.

The reason will become apparent over time, as you see pages with a page rank of zero from your website outrank page rank 4, 5 or 6 websites who may have strong on page SEO factors, but have neglected off page Seo link building to cement their rankings.

In summary:

1. Create value through providing on-topic, relevant content in relationship to the title and description of the page.

2. Re-Optimize content regularly with emphasis on the description tag and using exact match terms for high volume keywords.

3. Add breathtaking adjectives where possible or terms that can augment long-tail search results (affordable, professional, company, services, etc. )

4. Create new pages with the optimized goal in mind, instead of trying to make a square peg fit in a round hole. New content adds value (and additional page rank) and if you start with the goal in mind, you can build fresh (deep) links and rank in no time vs. trying to re-hash content indexed from older pages which are associated with narrower or less popular terms.

So now that you have a better idea of what is required, get busy and start building website authority and trust rank for your website today.

Profitable Article Marketing - Discover 4 Profitable Secrets to Excel with Article Marketing

A lot of people are constantly looking for ways on how they can excel in article marketing so they can set themselves apart from the rest and take the lead. If you are one of them, these 4 profitable secrets can help you realize your goal:

1. Top quality writing. If you would like to increase the chances of your articles being read, picked up, and republished, you need to make sure that you offer nothing but high quality content. This will attract webmasters and other marketers to use your articles as content on their blogs and websites that can boost the number of your inbound links.

2. Maximize your resource box. While most article submission sites would allow you to use up to 3 hyperlinks on your resource box, be sure to check on their guidelines. Some sites would only allow one while others offer unlimited clickable links. If you are allowed to use three, be sure to use anchor texts that will drive your readers to your home page and internal page that is highly relevant to the article you wrote. Then, use one absolute URL. This will increase the chances of your website being visited.

3. Know where to find bright topic ideas. Once you sink your teeth into article marketing, you will need hundreds of great topic ideas. To help you out, you can visit forums and article submission sites that are frequented by your target market. These are gold mines that can offer you unlimited topic ideas that your readers will find interesting and helpful.

4. Do your research. Never write your articles based on your opinions and experiences alone. To make your articles content-rich and reliable, check out reputable resources that can give you details about the topic you will write about.

Sifting Thru the Fog to Find the Expert Writers of Our Time

The question at hand is - How can you determine if the author who wrote a particular article is an expert or not? And how on Earth can you go through 10 Billion web pages to find all the experts? Well in my estimation an online article submission site with over half-a-million articles and 50,000 or more article authors could indeed do this.

Does this mean that they should apply to the Department of Defense, NSA, Google Research or the National Archives for a grant to do the research? Yes, I believe they should. What about the information overload at half-a-million articles or the massive amount of garbage on the Internet these days - ah, precisely why such a system to determine expert status is truly needed in my opinion.

Yes, there is information overload, data smog or feature fatigue to consider in all of this and any online article submission site who decides to design such a system on their own accord with their own financing must only implement such a system that makes sense from a user standpoint, profit standpoint because whatever is implemented will need to have a decent ROI, otherwise why do it?

Indeed, presently whatever is done by an online article submission site must take advantage of the future, but also realize if semantic searching and Web 2.0 comes into the picture soon, Everything changes over night, thus it is best to be ready and be first to market, not be bogged down with all sorts of projects that may never turn a profit.

Can an Artificial Intelligent Search Feature sift through all this and only give results of the experts? Some say that it would be impossible to design such a searching tool. Well, I disagree to say it cannot be done now with current technology and AI theories of our day. I believe no one has thought it out. I am sure I or we could come up with something fairly easy if for instance we studied all my articles or let's say 10,000 of them.

We know what subject I am an expert in and which subjects I ain't and so we could play around with a program until which time it matched that reality, so therefore I believe it can be done, in fact, I am quite certain of it. I think giving up or quitting or concluding it is impossible is pre-mature, but in looking at the various ideas on how it could be done so far, I would say, based on this, none of these ideas presented thus far will work by themselves although a few might be a component of the total answer to the question.

Currently, we know that all too often Google or other major search engines do not bring back the desired results needed. Perhaps you have had this problem, I know I have and not just with Google either. Indeed, in frustration of this problem I have had long in depth conversations on the issues of false positives in looking for geniuses on the Internet with some experts in the field who have written 200 research papers on the subject at a major University. They have stories about this.

The Search Engines we have today are not good enough and most people are only semi-satisfied with them. Can a small online article submission site succeed where major search engines have failed us? Yes, because these smaller sites have incredible data bases and hands on experience dealing with these issues and determining who is an expert.

Incidentally, I know that our Online Think Tank could come up with the answer if we choose to take this on as a project, because, we have everything we need if we use the top online article submission site statistics. Since, I am a writer and I know "me" and my abilities; we should be able to play around with something and WIN, that is to say come up with the solution to the challenge - No Problem, it just takes a little time and availability to the data, it can be done, I know it can.

How to Get a PR6 Backlink

One of the major factors of Google's algorithm for calculating Page Rank(PR) and top SERPs (search engine result pages) is getting quality inbound links from authority web sites. Although the visible PR (on the Google Search bar) is historical (could be up to 4 months old) it is an indicator of that site's importance in Google's eyes.

PR - Google Page Rank

Google PR uses a scale of 0 to 10 - there is a grey rank for dubious sites! A page rank of 10 is in your dreams! So 0 is the lowest and 10 is the highest. The scale is logarithmic - so getting a ranking of 2 is not twice as hard as getting 1 but significantly higher!!

So your aim is to get inbound links from sites with high PR. Of course, the higher a site's PR the harder it is to get a link. But not always - more about that later!!

Relevancy of Link

The next issue is relevancy! If your site is about Perfumes, there is not much point in getting a link from a site about Washing Machines. If you get those type of inbound links, Google will smell a rat (sorry for the pun). Instead you should be looking for a site which is on the theme of Perfumes. Good PR links from such sites will do your rankings a power of good.

Keyword

And there is more: choice of keyword for the outbound link. You have managed to find a site with good PR on perfumes and they are happy to exchange links. Carefully choose a page which has content about the keyword (or phrase) you wish to promote, and then ask for the anchor text to be the that keyword (phrase). Next - what page should you be linking to on your site? You MUST have a page where the content revolves around the keyword you are promoting - ideally in the title, H1 and text content. So linking to this page makes sense to Google. Google is looking for natural hyperlinks which lead to pages that are on topic! Google will give you brownie points as a result.

One final point make sure the webmaster you are exchanging content links with does not use the "nofollow" attribute on his external links. Links with the "nofollow" link will not pass Google PR to your site.

OK - you have all the information you need to maximise the use of the Google PR 6 link. Of course, the key is finding sites with PR 6 or better who will trade links. So here is the crunch and believe or not the tool to gain top PR links is currently freely available. See the link in the resource box for more information!

SEO Choose the Right Keywords

Choosing keywords is one of the most important tasks when it comes to SEO; it falls only behind link building on a scale of importance. You need to think very carefully about what keyword phrases and word choices people would use when looking to buy your product or service.

Knowing what keywords people are using for searches is fundamental to your sites success. Firstly, you need to construct a big list of words that relates in anyway to your product or service, these keywords or phrases need to cover every aspect of your business or products that are related to your business. I would also suggest choosing keywords that are also related to your keyword phrases. Therefore, one step away from being directly related to your business, this will help catch a bit more traffic. Put yourself in your customers shoes What search phrases would you type in if you were looking for your service. Think about your business as an outside that knows nothing about your business or industry.

The next step is to judge how valuable and competitive the search terms are. The higher the numbers the harder is going to be to rank for a particular search phrase. You can do this with a variety of tools free and paid for. They include: Wordtracker, Keyword Discovery Google Adwords and the Overture tool. I would suggest using the overture tool and choosing phrases that have between 3000 10000 searches per month, any more searches and its going to take a long time to rank and any less and you wont get enough traffic.

Now narrow down your list to about 70 keyword phrases and scatter them across your websites content. Choose three or four of the most competitive keyword phrases and have them on your home page copy. Repeat your Top Three keyword phrases at least ten times on your home page.

Clickbank Success With Article Marketing

When I first started promoting Clickbank products, I set up several Google AdWords campaigns. I can still remember the excitement, as I saw people were clicking my ads. Never mind that it's costing me $10 a day, I thought, I will easily make that back. I also remember the strange disappointment when I checked my Clickbank account and saw that not one single sale had gone through. Does that sound familiar?

Google AdWords just didn't work for me. I spent way more money than I ever made. The way forward, my friend, is article marketing. Here are some reasons why it beats AdWords into the ground:

  1. Writing articles will cost you no money, unless you want to pay someone else to do it for you. It will cost you some time, but you will find you get faster the more you write and there are tools to help you be even faster.
  2. Article Marketing works! OK, so it may still take a little while to see results, but it certainly is possible to make a better than full time income off of article marketing alone.
  3. You gain a portfolio of information that you can use later to create ebooks for your customers. It is great practice for this and will save you loads of time later.
  4. You are viewed as an expert in your field. The more you write on a subject the more your customers will respect you and the more likely they are to buy from you.
  5. It survives the competition. It's true there are many people doing article marketing right now, but unlike Google AdWords it is still highly possible to succeed.
  6. You don't have to know anything about the topic. With new software you can get your article written at the touch of a button.
  7. It's so much better than buying and following up leads that never get anywhere. If you hate selling, article marketing is for you.

Article Marketing - Does It Pay Off To Market In Other Niches?

Many people who get started in article marketing or even Internet marketing in general try to market Internet marketing products. However, they themselves have not made a few decent sales online, let alone make a full-time income on the Internet.

Truth is, there are not many people out there who are interested in making money online as there are people who want to...

- Lose weight

- Get better in relationships

- Get happier

- Have less stress

- And lots more of other stuff!

And there are many more other niches. You'll also be competing with article marketers who are not so into Internet marketing like many of the readers of this article will be. Most of the writers in those niches submit a few articles for testing or merely for small branding purposes.

However (and that is a big however!), if you use them purely for out and out traffic generation to your websites, you can get almost all your articles in the 3-digit zone easily. Many of my articles in other niches reach a 100+ page views after just a week or so and many others hit 300 or more page views.

The simple fact is this: articles in other niches away from the 'make money online' niche or 'Internet marketing' niche generate far more page views, which means far more traffic to your website. You'll also get far less sophisticated competition who are no well-versed in Internet marketing tactics!

So make use of this information to start marketing in niche markets if you haven't. I'm not saying don't sell to the Internet marketing niche (please do so if you have a quality product!), but venture into other niches where it is potentially a lot more profitable.

Internet Marketing Articles - This is How to Have Real Influence

Have you ever been able to get something for nothing? Some might say, "Yes, I have received gifts from people and that was something for nothing." Others might say, "I found ten dollars once, and that was something for nothing." Another example that might come to mind is when a person steals something. You might argue that they got something for nothing. I want you to really think about this for a moment. Do you ever really get something for nothing?

I think it is probably a matter of perspective. If you look at a single moment in time, it could appear that it is indeed possible to get something for nothing. But, if you look at it from the perspective of your lifetime, and what brings real value to your life, I think it doesn't take much effort of thought to realize that we don't ever really get anything of value for nothing.

Still have some doubts? Let me add this then: sometimes the price we pay is before we receive something, and sometimes the price is afterwards.

The reason that I write this is because I am often amazed at the endless supply of headlines that promise something for nothing. I guess the thing that amazes me about these headlines is that they would not be so prevalent if they were not successful. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised; the truth is that I have spent most of my own life looking for some magic pill of a sort.

I guess that is why article marketing has such appeal to me now. I hope I have finally given up on the idea of the magic pill. I am more interested in what I can grow and develop. I see article marketing as the type of business opportunity that I can use to not only build and develop my business, but myself.

What if Dan Iverson could show you how to write about any topic on earth and make money? AIDA - The Secret Formula To Article Marketing Riches!

First, let me tell you that you don't need to be a professional article writer to churn out killer articles that make your bank account happy. It's really easy to write a good article when you follow these simple steps.

All you need to do is understanding these four letters: AIDA

What does it mean?

A = attention
I = Interest
D = Desire
A = Action

Now let me explain each of the point above.

1. Attention

You need to write a killer title that stops your visitors and tells him: "read this article right now". For example, if you are trying to sell an ebook that help athletes to run faster, your title could be:

"4 Simple Tricks To Effortlessly And Naturally Always Be In Your State Of Peak Performance."

Do you think that a title like this one will work?

The truth is that you won't know until you split test this headline with a second one a finally find the winner.

2. Interest

Now that you got your visitor's attention, be sure to write an interesting article on the topic. If you are not an expert in your niche market, you have two solutions.

a. You can make a quick search about your topic on Google, and read whatever comes on the first and second page of results.

b. Hire a ghostwriter to carry out the research for you and write the article on your behalf.

3. Desire

Now you want to speak to the readers emotions. You want to put him into the emotional state that will make him click the link in your resource box.

It's not easy. This is an art called copywriting. If you have good copywriting skills, you have what it takes to make full living online.

4. Action

Naturally, this is where you want to lead the reader. You want him to click on the link in the bio box and finally visit your website.

Now that you know the meaning of these four letters, and literally force those who take the time to read your article to your site, you need to understand the marketing and website conversion basics to close the sale.

Amazing Article Marketing - Key Methods to Make Money With Article Marketing

Obtaining quality inbound links for your website can tremendously help you not only in improving your page ranking but also in increasing the amount of traffic that your website receives. And one of the best ways to create inbound links for your website is through article marketing. This is one hassle-free method as you don't need to learn complicated HTML codes or programming languages just to popularize your website. All you need is to write quality articles and submit them to popular publishing sites and watch the influx of online users to your website.

1. Use only original articles. Publishing sites have ways of knowing if you are posting duplicate content. So, forget about copying other writer's work. Instead, communicate your knowledge and expertise on your chosen field by putting your ideas into writing.

2. Post your articles on your own website. This will make your website a good source of information. And when your webpage offers quality information, it will look good on the eyes of search engines and online users.

3. Optimize your articles. Learn how to strategically place relevant keywords and key phrases on your content so your articles will be indexed by search engines. When that happens, your copies will be highly visible on search result pages.

4. Your articles must run at least 300 words. Before you submit your articles, make sure that they meet the minimum word requirement of major publishing sites.

5. Pick the best article submission sites. Submit your articles to popular and highly visited publishing sites. Ezinearticles.com is one of the sites that are frequently accessed by webmasters who are looking for articles that they can use on their website. Internet Article Marketing - Why Is It Better? Here's The Simple Mathematics

Are you trying to make money online? Whether you have products of your own, or you are trying to make money selling affiliate products, article marketing is a sure way to drive targeted traffic to your site. It's simple really, the more articles that you write, the more traffic you are going to get. We know that article marketing's natural selective process prequalifies your prospects. The prospect is qualified, simply because as they choose to progress toward your site, each step indicates an increase in their level of interest.

There is a limited number of ways that a person can come across your article. One, they could just stumble across it by chance. Two, they could find your article listed on a page of a search engine. Three, they could be sent or directed to the article by an ezine or RSS (Real Simple Syndication): some type of subscription or update notification.

Regardless of how they come across the article, it requires some level of choice to read the article, and even more if they finish reading the article. Let's call this qualification number one. They say that of the people who read the article, one to three percent chooses to click the link and visit the website or blog. We'll call this qualification level number two.

After going through the information on your site, this is qualification number three; five to 15 percent of these visitors will make a purchase if you have a decent sales letter and follow up system. This is much better than the one to five percent of people that buy after arriving at your site being lead by some other form of marketing. Thus the reason that article marketing is considered one of the most effective forms of marketing on the Internet.

Search Engine Optimization

Optimize Your Blog For Search Engines:

While optimizing your blog, it should be realized that you don't want to optimized for all web search crawlers but you want to optimize your blog for Google. The question arises how to drive traffic. It is clear that all of us want targeted traffic, and it is natural, because without traffic our blog is worthless and we cannot earn. SEO depends on two things. 1) onpage search engine optimization. 2) Off page search engine Optimization.

Onpage optimization depends on 1) Blog Layout (URL, blog title, Blog description, Sidebar headers and other things added to blog lay out) 2) Post Layout - (Post Title, Post Header, Sub headers and content of post).

Off page one depends on these 1) Back Links (which comes from high Page Rank site, Relevant site, site having relevant keywords).

To explain all this let us pick one key word "Search Engine Optimization ". Blog Layout - Best URL for this keyword will be searchengineoptimization.(dot)com. If it is available other wise you should take use url containing your key word . Our blog title should be "our keyword". Our side bar should also have the same in its titles. The blog description should be filled with your keywords as you can see above in my page. Besides that we can create our sidebar titles and fit our other keywords there.

The Google bot crawls your page from top left, then left column, then second column and end up at lower right corner of your web page. It only wants to know only what your page is about. No where between your URL and your comments bot should run into any confusion, do not include any previous post link, any home page link, any thing that does not tell what your page is about. when search engine reaches your actual post, it would have read your keywords in your URL, your blog title and description, till than it would come to know what your blog is about. This is SEO.

Post Layout - The post is a bonus, because search engine has indexed you for your main keywords before reading your post. After reading the post bot will have added a good many long terms categorize your blog under as well. Write your posts in such a manner that it could cover maximum number of your keywords, do not forget to bold, italicized and underline the keywords. If you do not describe clearly, and post with lot of keywords in your posts, none of them is highlighted then bot would pickup unnecessary keywords which you do not require. Do not forget to write once again your main keyword at the end of post.

How to Get Website Traffic with Article Marketing

People use the Internet for so many things. Some use it as a social networking tool, some for chatting with friends and exchanging emails with family and still others use the Internet as their own personal cash machine. You'd be surprised at how many people have turned to the Internet as their only source of income-and they're making a killing at it. Perhaps you aren't surprised and you're one of them, or you're not surprised but you'd sure like to know just how they're doing it so you can do it too.

One method is to have a website where you sell something-a product, digital or otherwise, a service or a membership forum. Those are all terrific money-makers but they won't bring you a dime unless you can get people to visit your site. They can't buy what they can't see, right? Right.

So how do you get a flood of traffic to come breaking down your doors-and better yet-how can you make sure that the people visiting your site are the ones that are interested in what you have to offer them and are already willing to put some money out for it?

Article marketing is the way to go. Here's how it works. There are numerous article directories online. These are places where authors submit articles. They write articles about various subjects-generally on topics that coincide with what they're promoting online. Article directories exist just for these submissions. Depending on the article directory you are submitting to, you will be allowed to either insert a link or two to your website and your name.

Make sure to carefully study the submission guidelines before you submit your work. If you don't, be prepared to have your article rejected. The powers that be at the directories generally send you an email informing you that your article was rejected and why. You can rework it, fix the problem and resubmit.

Publishers visit article directories in droves, seeking out fresh content to place on their websites. The reason they do this is because you need to have regular new content placed on your website on a regular basis in order to get a good ranking in the search engines. Having a high page rank will bring you more traffic.

Let's say a publisher likes your article and decides to pick it up. They will download it from the directory and place it on their website. Now your article, with your resource box, name and links to your website are posted on their website. People coming to this website will read your expertly written piece, see your clink and click on it.

If the website your article is on gets a lot of traffic, you will reap the benefits of their traffic by receiving your own traffic. Now, consider that not just one publisher will pick up your article, but dozens! Perhaps more, and each time your article is posted somewhere else, you get traffic.

Traffic = money in your pocket and this is why article marketing for traffic is a good thing.

Real Estate Marketing Strategies -7 Ways To Overcome The Myth That You Have To Be "Pushy" To Succeed

Havent we all been told that the ones who succeed are aggressive and pushy? Isnt this why so many people are scared of marketing themselves? In my 30 years of coaching people, I have found that almost everyone has an aversive reaction to marketing. In other words, they would rather do anything but market themselves and thats what they usually do.

Tip 1: Look at your old concepts of marketing:

What images come up for you when you think of marketing?

Do you visualize a pushy salesman at your door? Do you think of telemarkers calling you at night?

Tip 2: Do you equate marketing to sales?

Most of my clients have always worked for someone else and in their own business, they are scared about whether they succeed or fail. So they begin to believe consciously or unconsciously that marketing means sales.

Tip 3: Do you think you are taking when you are offering your services?

Over many years of helping people get more clients, I can honestly say that most people believe they are taking from another when they market themselves to another. Instead, start thinking of yourselves as giving whenever you tell anyone what you do.

Tip 4: Have a very comfortable, non pushy elevator speech.

An elevator speech is a memorized version of what you say when anyone asks you What do you do?. Always answer the question with a question. For example, if you are a real estate agent, instead of saying I'm a real estate agent, say You know how most people get stressed out when they buy or sell a home? Well my job is to help them to relax and enjoy the process. I am a real estate agent.

Tip 5: Always ask permission to continue.

For example, if you are making a cold call to someone in business, get their permission to continue. For example, if you are a coach and you say your name and what you do, like I help People succeed in business, then say If youd like to take 30 seconds, Ill be happy to tell you what I do. The receiver of the call will feel like their time is respected.

Tip 6: Always give before asking for the gift of someones time and attention:

For example, if youre a real estate agent, and you want to go door to door, have something in your hand to give the person. For example, Im your neighbor and I have a list of the properties that have been sold in our neighborhood. Would this be of interest to you?

Tip 7: Your prospect needs to know, like and trust you.

Any attempts at being pushy with a prospect will turn them off. Remember to focus on building a relationship so they can know, like and trust you.

How To Promote With Article Marketing

Getting traffic to your website or blog is the only way to make it pay, but not everyone who launches a website or blog has the money to spend on promotion. Good news. There's a promotional method that really works for attracting site or blog traffic and it's free, free, free. It's called article marketing and it is a sure way of raising a site's profile.

Step 1: Find An Article Directory

To get started, find a suitable article directory. Article directories are sites that have hundreds and thousands of articles and there are new ones emerging every day. Some are all-purpose, covering everything from family issues to healthcare, while others have a niche, such as computer advice or art. All of them are hungry for content.

With so many to pick from, choosing an article directory can be a minefield. To make it easier, look at the directory to see:

  • how many authors there are - if only a handful, forget it and move on.
  • how many articles there are - ditto; come back when they've got some content
  • can the site be found on Google, Yahoo or MSN - if you can't find many links to the site, then no-one will find your articles either.
One of the best and most effective article directories I have used is EzineArticles.com. EzineArticles is easy to use and articles published on the site appear in the search engines very quickly.

Step 2: Start Writing

Once you've decided on the right article directory or directories, write an article. Bloggers will find that blog posts are a good starting point for a web article. If you're not a writer, there are plenty of writers who will whip up an article for a few dollars. Some will even help you get it published. The article you write or commission can be about almost anything related to the site, blog or business you are promoting. The ideal article should be short (say 300-600 words) and error-free, so remember to proofread and spell check.

Many article directories vet articles before publishing. Stick to the guidelines that are published on every site and approval should be a formality. Most article directories prohibit self-promotion in the body of the article. Direct promotion of a site, blog or business is reserved for the resource box.

Step 3: Work That Resource Box

The resource box is where article writers can put all the self-promotional information. Readers who have found the article useful are likely to click on the links to see what else a site, blog or business has to offer. Article directories typically allow up to three links in the resource box. A good resource box has the name of the writer or the person being promoted, the name of the business and the keywords that the site or business owner would like to promote. See the resource box at the end of this article for an example. Other resource boxes may link to a sales letter page (with the product name highlighted) and include a short elevator pitch and call to action.

Step 4: Submit Like Crazy

Once the article has been submitted to the directories the site owner has chosen, it's time to move the strategy to the next level. Article submission services extend the potential reach of an article, giving another opportunity to boost traffic. Like many article directories, article submission services allow people to upload articles for approval. Once the articles are approved, these services send them out to article directories, article groups, ezine publishers and website owners to be considered for publication. Two options for article submission are Article Marketer, which has free and paid options and Isnare, which is a paid service. There are also free and commercial programs to automate article submission.

Pros And Cons Of Article Marketing

The big question, of course, is whether submitting articles to hundreds of directories counts as duplicate content. It's hard to tell. Some of them end up in the sandbox after a while; others don't. Staggering submissions is a good way to avoid this. However, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh the potential disadvantages. With article marketing, sites can receive hundreds of inbound links in only a few days or weeks and thousands of people will be visiting the site that's being promoted. That can't be bad, can it?
